For the Community

Meet Marlon

Marlon Rice is a father, grandfather, and lifelong Bed-Stuy resident who's spent over 15 years building community. As director of event services at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and founder of Good People NYC, he brings neighbors together. He's created education programs for our kids, published in major outlets, and always shows up when it counts.

Raised by a paralegal mother and NYPD stepfather, with a grandmother who worked for community leaders like Rev. Gardner C. Taylor and Hon. Al Vann, Marlon learned early that service means standing with your neighbors—from the block to the ballot box.
